Ever since the week we're going to Hanoi, I lost track of day and date. Especially after we came back because it's xmas week and ending of 2012. With the PHs, weekends were like weekdays, vice versa.
Hanoi trip was really great. It had been long since I traveled with friends. It's either with Hengky or family. Hence, this trip was different in the first place yet filled with many more new experiences.
Hengky, Shilei and I were kinda like tourists with Simin and her friend, Linda, as our tour guides, bringing us around and telling us the history and what the locals do (They did SEA studies and chose Vietnam for attachment). We behaved like the locals when we crossed the roads and ate plenty streets food. We behaved like tourists when we went to museums and must-try restaurants.
The weather was great especially for people like us who live in 'summer-always' climate. Hanoi has 4 seasons but certainly we didnt get to see snow. It's 14-20 degree. The temperature is not always consistent hence some time we wore too much and yet some time too little that uncles on the streets were mumbling that we should dress more.
And come to think of it, we actually met new people everyday. We met with Linda on day 1 as she's here for 3 weeks to do her honors' research. She's Singaporean but from Indonesia. Day 2 we went home visit and street side tea drinking with their local friend and another Taiwanese guy who is doing PhD over there. Day 3 and 4 we were at Halong Bay and majority are Caucasian (Americans, Germans, Australians, French and English). We chatted alot because there's no other entertainment on board. Lastly, day 5 we met 3 Koreans and another Taiwanese and more Vietnamese. They would bring any friends along whenever there's a gathering hahah.

Now I kinda reluctant to travel without a tour guide friend :(

It's only the second week of my holiday and I'm kinda run out of things to do.
What I have done:
- tidied my table
- sweep/mop/clean every corner of my room
- changed bedsheets
- cleaned fan
- watched "Random Island" (btw great entertainment!!!)
- hot yoga
- online shopping
- celebrated 4th anniversary (card-making and gift)
- spent $100 over on facial products
- meeting up with friends
- updated tuition blog
- watch running man (plenty more to catch)
- read a book
Last Monday, we celebrated our 4th anniversary with affordable french food at Saveur.

We spend about $50 plus for the great taste of french food. We had the same main course and 2 starters and dessert because the review said they're the best. And indeed the 5 dishes we ordered tasted fantastic. The portion may seem small but filling enough for us. Going back for sure if I've craving for good food.
I didnt manage to finish my card as it was pouring that afternoon so I didnt go out to print pictures. Hence, I requested for 30 min free&easy time to get the card done and bought a varsity jacket for him. I received no gift but card only :( Just to rant on a bit, he didnt give me any gift this year not even a bday present. He's very bad at picking gift so I told him bring me along and his card. But till now, he havent bring me to any shop to splurge .v.
I guess I can continue to stay at home to cut cost and maybe bake sth to entertain myself and the oven hahaha

It's gonna be a memorable day today :)
It has been 4 years. One week ago, I didnt feel the same excitement as now because we were at one of our down period. As you know, there are plenty of ups and downs in a relationship.. Like all couples, we went thru arguments, forgive and forget and certainly sweet moments.
It's not easy to come so far. Sometimes I'm worried about our future, our characters, our attitudes towards life. Are we really compatible? Is he the one? Can we last till we're old? I believe these kind of questions are familiar to those like me.
Sometime you just cant let go a long relationship because you have put in so much effort and time on it. Letting it go does not make you feel better but leave you unconvinced about the ending. Hence, you still give it another chance and yet another chance. I guess this is how those old couples last?
Still, I'm glad to have you to accompany me for the past 4 years. Other than being my bf, you're also my BFF and soul-mate. I rarely confide to others, thanks for being my listening ear. You always told me, "I'm your everything," and you always want to do everything together. And you never take the easiest way out unlike me, that's what I admire of you.
We have no idea we'll end up together when we're in J2. We're just friends not even close. If neither you nor me were at the chalet in 2008, we'll still be friends now. We definitely change alot throughout this 4 years, regardless of inner or outer self. I guess something that is gg to stay is our reliance on one another and the feelings from the start.
