Ohhh so this is it. I completed my studies and started working for now. Ok I didn't expect myself to start a full-time job so soon but everything just went by so fast and so smoothly. 

I thought I still can slack abit till I come back from Australia in April. I doubted that anyone would wanna hire me now since I would be away for 3 weeks. Also, all my leaves would be gone just for this trip. 

But I think I'm a workaholic. I need to work to feel happy. Although I had hostel and tuitions, something was like incomplete. So I sent my resume for the third time and I got the job despite them knowing that I'll fly off for 3 weeks in March/April. And at that point I only got back my results for 2 weeks and I'm hired?! Really fast ya?! 

Furthermore, this's job is kinda ideal to what I wanted. I didn't expect it actually. Kinda scary but at the same time I feel so happy at work! 

I hope to continue to teach maths only and purely teaching, no admin or meetings like in Sch. I want to have CPF, benefits and leaves with stable income which private tuitions cannot provide. I hope to have time for my current tutees even though I have a full time job. I even thought of gg back to MOE as I know what I expected could hardly come true. BUT IT JUST CAME TRUE. 

Currently I'm a math trainer at PSLE Math Learning Centre. 98% of my time is teaching. Only 2% of admin work! No planning needed as it is a programme with fixed lesson plan. 

It's an enrichment centre actually, meaning students are taught more than what they learnt in school. Unlike tuitions, whereby subject syllabuses are closely followed and more of concepts emphasized. Over there, we teach problem sums only. In other words, no basic foundation taught but only focusing on different type of problem sums. I don't really recommend weak students there because they can hardly follow the lessons especially it's in group. But this is definitely good for above average students. 

Working environment is good - AMK, hawker centre nearby, non-peak hours when I go to work, teaching materials and style are similar to what I use or do for my tutees.

The only bad thing is that I teach one class after another. There's no proper meal break, often you will have to eat in class. Probably this will cause some health problems in long run? Also, I have a senior that will make sure I do more but not less. Oh well, the rest are still good ;)

What can be better than waking up everyday feeling happy to go to work? 

Alright need to go prepare to start my birthday celebrations! Meeting up w the girls later! Long time no see le!
